SGG COOL-LITE SKN
Combining energy efficiency, neutrality and versatility of processing SGG COOL-LITE SKN / SKN II are offline coated glass manufactured by magnetron sputtering deposition under vacuum conditions onto float glass. The coating is specially designed to selectively reflect near and far infrared wavelengths while allowing visible light transmission.
SGG COOL-LITE SKN / SKN II are ranges of high selective solar control glass for use in commercial and residential buildings, either for façade glazing or skylight.

The following substrate glasses can be used for SGG COOL-LITE coated glass:
- SGG PLANILUX clear glass
- SGG DIAMANT extra clear glass
- SGG PARSOL body-tinted glass
Using an extra clear glass emphasises the neutrality and transparency of high performance solar control glasses.
Using a body-tinted base substrate will offer a vibrant reflected colour.
A neutral glass always has a slight greenish, bluish, or greyish residual reflected colour. The neutrality of the glass must be checked using a sample of the proposed glass in its intended location.

Glass processors and installers must check that all mastics and sealants are compatible with the coating.
Like all coated glass, SGG COOL-LITE SKN may distort reflected images to some extent, especially if it is toughened, installed into a double-glazed unit, channel-glazed, etc. The appearance of the glass may show some variations inherent to the product, depending on the distance and angle of observation and the ratio of internal and external lighting of the building.
Likewise, as with all coated solar control glasses, slight variations in the reflected colour are considered to be normal.
SGG COOL-LITE SKN / SKN II must always be assembled into a double glazed unit, with the coated surface to the inside of the external pane (surface 2).
It is imperative that the coating be edge-stripped before assembly.
SGG COOL-LITE SKN II products must be heat treated (either tempered or heat strengthened) before assembly into the unit. Laminating process is possible as well. Please ask our guidance for use.
